Our Year In Review - 2012

Wow! Our first post of the New Year! 2012 was quite a year. As we said goodbye to the old year and welcomed the new, we thought about some of the major events and milestones of progress we saw happen last year at Activated Ministries and Donate A Car 2 Charity. These are some of the things we were most excited about:

Another year full of giving to missions and projects at home in the US and abroad. Our giving is dependent on the donations we receive, and we are so grateful each year for each of you that have donated and blessed these projects. Follow the links here and review the awesome endeavors of Project Cartwheel in Namibia, Project Gulu in Uganda, Healing Hearts Educational Program in Kosovo and Serbia,  and Values in Education in India. We also continued to assist local aid and relief organizations in Japan where they have continued their relief efforts to survivors of the Japan Tsunami of 2010. Our local efforts included donations of hundreds of boxes of shoes and clothing to local missions, homeless shelters and shelters for battered women such as St. Clare’s Home for Women and Children in San Diego, California, Brother Bennos in Oceanside and Solutions for Change in Escondido, as well as through the DIF in Ensenada, Mexico and local projects there.

We sponsored education by awarding 55 college scholarship to participants in our international “In Recognition of Service” scholarship program  which provides financial assistance to the children of missionaries around the globe who are pursuing post secondary and college education.

We believe in helping the whole man: Body, Mind and Spirit, so along with the humanitarian and educational projects, we promote a spiritual ministry that ministers via books, magazines, music, daily emails, monthly  devotional and inspirational mailings  to those hungry to fill that part of their spirits that longs for understanding and to understand, to touch the Creator and be touched by His love.

We are excited about the year ahead and are grateful for the opportunity to work with you in changing the world one project, one mission or one life at a time. Shouting out a huge “Thank You!” to everyone who made our ministry possible, whether through car donations, donations of goods and materials, volunteer hours or through their prayers and encouragement. We couldn’t have done it without you and look forward to another successful year ahead.
