I came across this quote yesterday and it made me stop to think--am I honest, kind, truly generous, even when it doesn’t benefit me or I may not feel someone deserves it?

Sometimes we feel “good” when we are able to judge the character of others and tell ourselves that we would never do what they did. We feel good when we lift ourselves up in our own minds and put others down.

1 Peter 3:8 says “Finally, all of you, be like minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.”

The world would be a better place if we could all learn to be more accepting and non-judgmental, if we could show more kindness and always remember to have the courage to make the honest choices. Let’s change our world by starting the change in ourselves first.

“Goodness is about character - integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people.” --Dennis Prager
