All vehicle donations made to our charity qualify you for the vehicle donation tax deduction. When you donate to Activated Ministries, you are enabling us to provide assistance to a wide range of programs from educational programs and scholarships to humantarian relief and overseas missions like Project Cartwheel in Gobabis, Eastern Namibia, Africa. How much of a tax deduction can I claim?

The initial tax receipt you receive when you donate a car in California enables you to claim a deduction of up to $500. This means you get to estimate the value of the vehicle (up to $500) and can claim a deduction for that amount. At Donate a Car 2 Charity, CA, we do our best to maximize your deduction by getting the highest sale price possible for your donated vehicle, which enables you to claim the higher actual sale value.  If your car sells for more than $500, we send you another receipt that states the sale price. This is the value you can claim come tax time.

Helpful Information - Car Donation California

Missing a title? We can still pick up your vehicle if you provide us with a signed Application for Duplicate Title and Vehicle Vessel Transfer and Reassignment Form REG 26 Both of these documents can be obtained from the California DMV website or by visiting your local Department of Motor Vehicles listed below. 

Please do not remove your license plates prior to the pickup. In California, the plates stay with the car and the previous owner simply files a Release of Liability for the vehicle.
